Blue heeler Hybrid actually Tayu has a tad bit of Nayu's families genes in her blood which is inherited somehow due to an even further in the past cousin.
Though physically unable to wield the finera blade and fire Tayu still has a good deal of the strength values kept true to the family line!
In fact the one thing that is kept hidden is HOW Tayu is related to Cara and Nayu
Later in the story you will find that like Cara Nayu longs to actually have a big sister and finds it in Tayu
Tayu is actually a foot taller making her more normal and is of the appropriate weight standard for the family line, which proves even further that Tayu is of the family genome.
Though she is now known by BOTH names
How she gained the named Tayu is still under theory
One of which states that since she lost her heart due to being on Earth and in Area 51 for over 7 years becoming tormented past the brink of death multiple times, causing her to lose her sanity over and over making her into a nobody.
Plus the fact that Tayu's blood contains traces of Nayu's bloodlines created a new alias that was designed to make Janis more like Nayu in every way imaginable except better.
After Nayu was reborned in Annie, Annie herself began to have dreams featuring her and Nayu meeting these strange beings known as imagineers one of which claimed to be named Tayu and once lived with (or like) Nayu during the time of their planets rule.
Whether or not this was a ruse is still a mystery
However what was known was a certain threat that warned Nayu NEVER to go even remotely Near Nevada's sacred Area 51, this threat was only given by Tayu herself repeatedly, almost as if recorded.
Nayu would then learn Tayu was in Area 51 along with a good number of other imagineers which makes her wonder were the other imagineers now a series of nobodies too.
When more dreams began to unveil just who was outside and who wasn't it became evident that Tayu may not actually be Tayu but another being by the alias name of Janis!
The best friend to Cara who was found wandering planet Earth like Nayu was.

Since Tayu's escape memories are unsure but now unlocked and now Janis goes by either names much like Axel does in Kingdom Hearts.
She now lives freely in 561 and travels often but doesn't stray too far from the main continent, but mainly keeps to herself suggesting a strong will to be independant and mentally strong in her time of confusion.
